LEGAL ADVISER'S REPORT.
I forward the above-mentioned Proclamation for the approval and signature of the Command er-in- Chief.
The Commander-in-Chief has already agreed to the issue of such a Proclamation in order to improve the security position but the date of issue was delayed in order to arrange procedure and details with the Police.
Colonel (Civil Affairs) Police, has now intimated that the Proclamation should 13 sue forthwith end that he is ready to carry. out the agreed procedure.
The procedure is laid down in the Notice to the Publio attached hereto. In addition it is proposed to leave the disposition of all weapons and ammunition for which no receipt is asked to Colonel (Civil Affairs) Police. Weapons retained or issued for use will be registered. Colonel (Civil Affairs) rolice should be asked to report progress..
